Dear Parents, Teachers and Students.

Greetings of Peace!

In the recent instruction from the Congregation for Catholic Education, expressing the desire of Pope Francis to educate children as an act of hope’, the Church as a mother and teacher, values education as a fundamental principle and a universal right to all.

The goal of education is to impart the students to live and to discover the deeper meaning of life, learning to interact with others in love, think freely and critically, find fulfilment in work, plan their future, or in one word, to learn to be’. It is in and through education that one can hope for a more human and humane future and a more harmonious society (Papal Document on Catholic Education, Consecrated Persons and their Mission in Schools, 2002,82,84),

Our Archdiocese takes education ministry as a serious vocation in building our nation, as a civilization of love, by moving towards social transformation and by forming young people as persons of faith, hope and love and building communities based on justice and equality. Our institutions are known for their inclusiveness, keeping in mind the option for the poor, as taught by Jesus. It is quite challenging in our context, where education has been commercialized, the principles of Catholic education promise holistic formation for our children, by making it unique and significant. It is a great team work along with the parents teachers and people of good will; we work together in nurturing a safe and healthy environment of our children, building a better future for them.

We continuously foster good academic discipline and standard in our schools and constantly create a ‘culture of care’ where the dignity of every person is preserved and promoted.

May our Blessed Mother, Seat of Wisdom, and St. Joseph Calasanz, Patron of Catholic schools intercede for us!
